It has always been fascinating to look at far-reaching views. Be it from the peak of a mountain, from the top of a sky scrapper, from an aircraft, from a glider, from the gondola of a hot air balloon, or from a rumbling helicopter cruising in air allowing the passengers to enjoy beautiful views.

Now such a fun activity is made available to the residents and visitors of Ahmedabad. Aerotrans (Blue Ray Aviation Company) has introduced a beautiful joy ride by helicopter to the city of Ahmedabad. It’s also encouraged by the government agencies such as Gujarat Tourism and the municipal corporation.

It’s a 10 minutes flights in the sky of Ahmedabad overlooking and enjoying the city horizon from a six seater helicopter. It operates from the water aerodrome which is located on the west bank of the river near Dr. Ambedkar Bridge in Vasna area.

Alongside the Flower Park, Atal Bridge, MyByk, the river cruise, Seaplane, and many more attractions on the Sabarmati Riverfront this is a new attraction. This joyride will certainly add a tempting attraction to the tourism activities in Ahmedabad.

At present it operates on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am till 6pm.

It operates on one of the two routes. One route is from the water aerodrome to the Narendra Modi Stadium and return along side the river, and another route is from the water aerodrome to the Science City and back. Whichever the route, the views from the helicopter window are just mesmerizing and can become a memory for life.

There are some easy rules to follow to enjoy the ride.

• The passengers are expected to carry a valid photo identity
• Arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time for the ride.
• No luggage or bags are allowed in the helicopter.
• The tickets can not be cancelled.
• The ticket price can not be refunded.
• The scheduled ride can not be altered.
