"Punit Van is a botanical garden located in Sector 19, Gandhinagar. Punit Van means ""Holy Forest"" in Gujarati. It was developed in 2005 by state forest department. When it was founded, it had 3500 trees all arranged in various shapes of stars, planets and zodiac signs according to Hindu mythology. The garden is divided in four parts- Nakshatra Van, Rashi Van, Navgraha Van, Rashi Van and Panchavati Van. The large gardern area provides lot of space to visitors to relax and rejuvenate.The garden also has long paved road which is used by visitors for running or jogging. Timings: 5–11AM 5–7:30PM"
