Iskcon Radha Krishna Temple
Radha Govinda Dham
Iskcon Temple Located on the busy Sarkhej Gandhinagar Highway, this beautiful temple Radha Govinda Dham, famously known as the ISKCON Temple is a place which we must visit with our family and friends. In spite of being surrounded by busy traffic, a divine and devotional peace is showered upon us from the moment we enter.
The Iskcon Temple Ahmedabad is a beautiful blend of temple architecture of eastern and western India. The walls are decorated with mesmerizing wall paintings of the stories from Shreemad Bhagavatam and other Vaishnava scriptures. There are deities of Radha & Krishna, Sita, Ram, Lakshman, and Hanumanji, Mahaprabhu Chaitanya & Nityananda on the main altar. In the prayer hall, a life-size statue of Shrila Prabhupada is just so lifelike, that a first time visitor will mistake it for a real person. Someone is always heard singing the diving song of the holy tune Hare Krishna.
A large collection of ISKCON literature is also on sale in the temple corridors. Prasad of ‘ghee mixed khichdi’ is offered to every visitor. The temple premises also has a state of the art multicuisine restaurant called Govinda’s, which serves great quality food prepared with utmost hygienic care.
Overall, it’s truly a worthy place to visit with family for a memorable devotional evening.
